Booth Rental

Reservation

Stands can be reserved via a link on our website www.borneloppen.be, in-store, or by phone.

Right of withdrawal

When you book a stand at Børneloppen, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, please come to the store and we will cancel your reservation. Please note that this must be done within 14 days from the date of your booking/renewal. If your rental period begins within 14 days from the booking or renewal, you hereby confirm that you waive your 14-day right of withdrawal. Regardless of the date of your booking, you cannot cancel if there are less than 14 days remaining before the start of the rental period or renewal.

Price

The prices listed on the website include VAT.

Commission

The commission is 17%.

Professionals

If you intend to sell goods from a VAT-registered company through a stand, this must be specified at the time of booking.

Measuring the booths

The combined booth and shelf booth measure 90 cm x 40 cm x 180 cm. However, the end booth measures 80 cm x 40 cm x 180 cm.

During the rental period

Launch

Once the stand is reserved, items can be set up one hour before closing (5 PM) on the day before the rental period begins, that is, from Monday to Saturday starting at 5 PM. The store is also open to stand renters from 9 AM to 10 AM every day. Børneloppen can rent the stand to someone else without notice if, without prior agreement, the stand has not been set up on the first day of the rental period.

The stands must not be moved, and no items should be attached or glued directly to the stands. Additionally, items cannot be placed outside your own stand. If this occurs, they will be removed without notice.

As a stand renter, you are free to use our hangers. We have a limited number of trouser hangers, which must be used equitably. Generally, you can obtain up to 15 trouser hangers for your combined stand.

Items with wheels should not be placed on the top shelf to avoid falls. Staff have the right to remove items from the top shelf that are at risk of falling or are too heavy (e.g., car seats with Isofix).

You must ensure that all items are properly labeled with a Børneloppen barcode, price, and a brief description of the item. General descriptions such as "clothes" or "shoes" are not considered sufficient.

If you have not set up your items by closing time on the first day of the rental period, without prior agreement with the staff, Børneloppen is free to rent the stand to someone else without notice.

You can upload an image per price tag in 'my Børneloppen'. Uploading images is optional, but we recommend it for items costing more than €10. You can activate the item/image to make it visible in the search function on the Børneloppen website by pressing the "magnifying glass icon." The photo MUST be of the exact item you are selling in the store, not a photo of a similar item found on the internet, for example. It is not allowed to display the seller's contact information (e.g., website link, phone number, email, or social media information) on the image. We reserve the right to delete images that do not comply with the above terms and conditions.

You can sell children's clothing (ages 0 to 16), toys, baby equipment, maternity clothes, and breastfeeding equipment at Børneloppen.

Security of goods

An unlimited number of alarms is included in the rental price. It is advised to use these alarms for items valued over €10. The premises are under video surveillance, and our staff is vigilant. Børneloppen cannot be held responsible for stolen, lost, or damaged goods, nor for damages in case of fire or water damage. In the event of fire, water damage, or burglary, your contents insurance may cover your loss—contact your insurer for more information.

Property Rights and Item Conditions

Sellers are solely responsible for the ownership and unrestricted right to sell the goods on the stand and are not allowed to sell counterfeit goods, items compromising safety, tobacco, alcohol, food, weapons, fireworks, pornographic material, or anything else the staff may deem inappropriate. We do not wish items bought on Wish, eBay, etc., to be resold at Børneloppen. You are also not allowed to place business cards or other marketing materials on the stands. Any violation will result in the removal of these objects and items without prior notice. The staff also has the right to refuse or dispose of items deemed detrimental to the store's quality, such as dirty, smelly, holey, or unhygienic items.

Order and Restocking

You are solely responsible for your stand and can restock it as often as you wish. Printing additional price tags (64 pieces per sheet) costs €1 for all items you wish to add to your stand later in the rental period. You also have the option to purchase a cleaning service for your stand. It is not allowed to remove an item from sale during the rental period if we have promoted it on our social media.

Items Without Prices

If an item loses its price tag or is found in the store after the end of the rental period, it will be placed in the store's lost and found area. It is therefore necessary to keep an eye on recognizable items on the shelf—even after the end of the rental period, as many items only appear when other tenants dismantle their stands. Items without a price tag are kept for a minimum of 14 days, after which they are sent to Børneloppen, who is free to donate, dispose of, or sell them.

Price Changes

If you wish to change the price of an item, a new price tag must be placed on the item; crossed-out prices are not valid for security reasons.

Stand Promotions

You have the option to hold sales on your stand. Simply inform the staff via your online space or by email so they can register the discount in the cash register system. The staff will then place a sign with the discount percentage directly on your stand. You can choose between a 25%, 50%, or 75% discount.

Price Tags

If you have booked a new stand directly after the end of your rental period, it is possible for the store to transfer your price tags to the new stand. This saves you from having to re-enter the price tags; you only need to place new tags on your goods. It is not possible to transfer price tags between stores.

At the end of the rental period

Empty the booth

The booth must be emptied at least one hour before closing time on the last day of the rental period. This means from Monday to Saturday before 5:00 PM. Remember to bring identification for security reasons. It is your responsibility to empty the booth unless you opt for our booth dismantling service. It is important that all price tags remain on the goods when the booth is emptied, as goods without price tags cannot be removed from the store. The staff has the right to inspect the goods.

If the booth is not emptied on time, Børneloppen will pack your items, which will incur a penalty of €25. You also have the option to pay for the booth dismantling service at a price of €15 (must be agreed upon in advance). It costs €3.50 per day when Børneloppen stores your items. The items will be stored for one week, after which you will lose ownership in favor of Børneloppen.

Payment of Your Profits

Børneloppen pays you 83% of your total sales. Payment is made via bank transfer. You simply need to request a payment under the "Payments" section in My Børneloppen. To ensure the safety of our staff, we do not keep large amounts of cash in the store, and we cannot guarantee the payment of your earnings in cash.

If any of your forgotten items are sold in the store within 14 days after the end of your rental period, Børneloppen will credit the money to your Børneloppen account. You have 90 days after the end of the rental period to claim all your earnings. You must "request a bank transfer" in My Børneloppen as this is not automatic. We will pay you within 7 working days after your request.

Privacy Policy

In our company, we understand and respect the importance of privacy on the internet. The company will not disclose customer/user information to third parties unless it is necessary to complete a transaction. The store will not sell your name, address, email address, or personal data to third parties without your prior consent.

 

Gift Cards

  1. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash.
  2. When purchasing gift cards online, a 14-day return period is granted. However, this only applies if part or all of the gift card has not been used. Once the gift card is used, any right of withdrawal is canceled.
  3. Gift cards are valid for 3 years from the date of issuance.
  4. Gift cards can be used in all Børneloppen stores, both for purchasing goods and renting booths.
  5. If exercising the right of withdrawal within 14 days, the customer must visit the store where the gift card was purchased within 14 days of purchase to obtain a refund.
  6. Lost gift cards will not be replaced
  7. For purchases with gift cards in stores, the original gift card must be presented.               
  8. Gift cards cannot be used to pay for booth rentals online.
     

 

The Wheel of Fortune

Terms and Conditions

You can participate in the contest once a day. You enter the contest by entering your email address, and then you can "spin the Wheel of Fortune." You can enjoy a maximum of 4 prizes in a year.

We reserve the right to cancel. You are responsible for the accuracy of your email address, and Børneloppen cannot be held responsible for incorrect email addresses. By participating, you subscribe to the Børneloppen newsletter.

Other

If you provide incorrect personal information or attempt to cheat, you may be excluded from the contest. We also reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions if necessary for legal or other reasons.
